The IITF Pledge of digital Dignity and Integrity

IITF encourages all digital citizens to pledge their commitment to acknowledge and embrace their rights and responsibilities as digital citizens.

IITF affirms:

The unrestricted validity in Cyberspace of our fundamental human rights, as established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). As the UDHR defines our rights and responsibilities as national citizens in community with others, they equally define our rights and responsibilities as universal digital citizens of cyberspace.

As universal digital citizens, we pledge:

Extend our Rights into Cyberspace

  • To extend the dignity and protection afforded to natural persons to their digital identity in Cyberspace.

Freedom from Fear and Want

  • To embrace our fundamental human rights as the source of just governance, societal integrity, economic wellbeing, and the protection of our natural environment.

Human Centered Technology

  • To promote human rights values in the setting of technological policies and standards.

Use for Common Good

  • To focus the use of digital technologies on the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Access for All

  • To support the equal and affordable access for all to one undivided Internet as a tool for the realization trust and integrity for persons and for humanity

Engagement

  • To act to the best of our abilities as engaged and informed universal digital citizens.
